What Happens When Temperature Drops to -22degrees.
Experiencing -20 degrees in Turku can be an intense and unique sensation. The air feels piercingly cold, causing immediate discomfort to your skin and breathing becomes quite a discomfort for every inhale that feels like an icy tendrils entering your lungs. There is a crunch of snow as you walked through the snow-covered roads and pathwalks. Other times, there can be less snow but feels really cold due to the wind blow which makes the weather so cold. During this time, you need to wear wind proof clothing to safeguard yourself from the intense coldness.
The good side is owed to the magnificent white landscape you can see everywhere. Although the night is longer than the day during this time of the year, the snow covered landscape brightens the environment revealing snow covered trees that look like statues watching over you.
For the best part of it, this year I decided to try throwing water in the air as you can see in the video below.
How to Do This
I just don’t like to miss warning you that if you ever try and do the same, be careful because the water you have to use to achieve similar result is a boiling water. Make sure the water is hot, so prepare first and practice with cold water before throwing hot water in the air.
