Strawberries in Finland are a beloved summertime delight. Growing in abundance during the warm months, these ruby-red berries are cherished for their sweet and tangy flavor. Finland’s cool climate and long daylight hours provide ideal conditions for the cultivation of strawberries, resulting in juicy and flavorful fruit. Finnish strawberries are known for their exquisite taste and exceptional quality. They are often enjoyed fresh, picked directly from the fields or used in various culinary creations like jams, desserts, and refreshing smoothies. Whether you savor them on their own or incorporate them into your favorite recipes, Finnish strawberries offer a delightful taste of summer.
Since we love eating fresh fruits in our porridge daily, this year I made an extra effort to preserve some berries which I harvested from our small backyard farm. We are trying to go organic,so in this way I am sure there are no chemicals added to grow them.

Love them! I harvested around 50+ last summer 😆
Cool! I must say the taste is worth the effort of planting and will do it again next year 🙂
I started with 10 plants, planted them in a rectangular container. Now, I have about 50 individual plants. Present from my other half 😁 along with a miniature cherry tree! He knows me well!
